The Indiana Pacers and the Milwaukee Bucks will meet for the second game of their first round series here on Tuesday night in Milwaukee. These two teams put on a great show in the opening game of this first round series, as the Milwaukee Bucks came out on top.
Now both teams will look to grab a victory here on Monday night before the series heads to Indiana for game three and game four later on this week. This could be a pivotal turning point in the series, depending on who picks up the victory here in this one.

History Between These Two Teams Given that both of these teams share the Central division, they are very familiar with each other after meeting up on five separate occasions this season. Each and every time two divisional opponents get together you can expect a close and competitive matchup because of that familiarity between the two franchises. This Tuesday in Milwaukee and the second game of this NBA playoff series should provide more of the competitive atmosphere that we saw throughout the regular season and in game number one.
Indiana dominated the regular season series between themselves and Milwaukee winning four out of five matchups. Which gives them plenty of hope, and momentum coming into the remainder of this playoff series. They need to figure out how to shut down Damian Lillard, which they did a great job of in the second half when he went scoreless after putting up 30 points in the opening half of the series. If they can win four out of five against Milwaukee throughout the regular season, they can certainly find a way to pick up a victory here in the second game of this series on Tuesday night on the road in Milwaukee.
Today’s Predictions The Milwaukee Bucks were able to get the job done without Giannis Antetokounmpo and the opening game of the series, which gives them all of the momentum coming into the second game here on Tuesday night at home. Damian Lillard added 30 points in the first half and he will need to find a way to not go scoreless in the second half this time around if Milwaukee wants to grab a second consecutive victory here in this one. A Milwaukee Bucks team is perhaps the most dangerous team in the entire NBA and once Giannis Antetokounmpo returns this Milwaukee team has legitimate championship aspirations this season.
At the moment it is unknown if Giannis Antetokounmpo will be available for the second game of the series. However, if Damian Lillard and Khris Middleton can play similar games as their game one performances, Milwaukee should leave home up two to nothing. They held Indiana to under 100 points and somewhat kept Tyrese Halliburton at bay throughout this game and that is something they will need to do once again if they want to pick up a second consecutive victory. As for the Indiana Pacers, they will need to find a way to shut down Damian Lillard and Middleton if they want to be successful in this game and even up the series before heading home. They will also need their support to step up in a big way throughout this contest. As they did not get much help from their bench and other starters in the lineup throughout this game.
It was mostly Pascal Siakam that got the job done for the Indiana Pacers as Tyrese. Halliburton did not have many opportunities to shoot the basketball. If not for Siakam’s 30+ point performance in the opening of this series, it could’ve been a much worse loss for the Indiana Pacers earlier this week. He will need to replicate that type of performance in the second game and Tyrese Haliburton will have to play much more efficiently and find opportunities to put the ball in the basket if Indiana wants to pick up a much-needed victory over Milwaukee here in this one.
I expect a much closer game this time around and I look for the Indiana Pacers to cover the spread against the Milwaukee Bucks here on Tuesday night. The result of this game could hinder on the availability of Giannis Antetokounmpo, but regardless, I expect a much closer contest the second time around here in Milwaukee.
Tips For Betting Indiana always played Milwaukee close throughout the season winning four or five games against them and covering the spread on all of those occasions. Indiana covered the spread in 22 games as an underdog this season which was one of the best in the NBA. They also covered the spread in 21 of their road games this season as well. Milwaukee only covered the spread in 20 of their 42 home games throughout the NBA season. They only covered the spread 16 times in 37 games as a home favorite as well. Which means all the momentum on the spread line points towards the Indiana Pacers here in game number two of this series, especially without Giannis Antetokounmpo in the lineup.
